Meet Your Portrait Photographer
Transforming moments into art.
I’m Monika, the photographer behind Monments Photography. My work began long before I ever owned a camera. I grew up noticing details most people overlooked, observing quietly, trying to read emotions through small expressions and shifts in energy. Later, I learned this way of seeing the world was shaped by my autism and ADHD, and suddenly everything made sense. Photography became the place where this way of seeing wasn’t a burden, and it made me feel safe in observing people through my camera, without being accused of staring.
The name Monments is simply a play on my name. Moments captured by Monika become Monments. It reflects the way I see photography - personal, intentional, created through my own way of noticing people. It is a small reminder that every portrait is shaped by how I see you. I take the moments that feel honest and unfiltered and turn them into something you can hold onto.
My Journey
My Vision
My approach to photography is shaped by my own journey toward understanding myself. I know what it feels like to be uncomfortable in front of a camera, to overthink every angle, or to feel disconnected from your own image. Because of that, my sessions are calm, supportive, and focused on helping you feel at ease. I work slowly, quietly, and with intention, giving you space to relax into yourself.
I mostly photograph women, but I love working with anyone who wants portraits that feel real and grounded. I am especially drawn to people who think they are “not photogenic,” or who have a complicated relationship with their appearance. These are the sessions where something shifts, even if just a little. That moment when someone sees themselves with softness instead of criticism, that is why I do this.
Monments Photography is not about pretending or performing. It is about showing you the version of yourself that already exists but is often overlooked. If you are looking for portraits in Kraków that feel honest, intimate, and true to who you are, I would love to create something together.
